Pain & Sleep: The Loop Worth Breaking

Pain and sleep run in a loop — research has long described how disrupted sleep can lower the body’s pain thresholds, while pain in turn disrupts sleep. A bad night really can make everything hurt more.

Is your pain reliably worse after a poor night’s sleep?
Do you wake with headaches or a tight jaw?
Have you accepted both as things to simply live with?

Sleep is part of the individualized picture our clinicians examine at a pain evaluation — treatment plans are set only after clinical evaluation, and care is individualized to each patient. Consult a licensed provider about your individual situation.

Questions about cost & coverage

Affordability and insurance, answered

How much will my visit cost?

We keep care affordable and quote you before anything is scheduled. Our team reviews your coverage, self-pay options and payment plans when we call you — no payment is needed to book.

Do you accept my insurance?

Most insurance is accepted, including Maryland Medicaid, Medicare, Aetna, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare. If we cannot bill your plan, we tell you before your visit.

What if you cannot bill my plan?

We offer affordable self-pay rates and payment plans — our team will go over options when we call you. Self-pay patients receive the same clinician evaluation and the same seven-day access.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans are available so cost does not delay your evaluation. Our team explains the options over the phone before your appointment.

Do I need to pay anything to book?

No. Booking is free. No payment is needed to book — our team discusses payment options when we call to schedule.

Do I need a referral?

Not usually, though some plans require a referral or prior authorization for specific treatments. We check that with you before anything is scheduled.

Are telehealth follow-ups covered?

Coverage depends on your plan and the visit type. We verify this with you before your appointment. Telehealth is available across Maryland, including weekday evenings and weekends.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Your insurance card, a photo ID and any imaging or records from prior treatment. That is enough for us to complete your evaluation.
